The other side of control

Not being in control makes me uneasy and letting go and surrendering are constant struggles. Deeply ingrained is the belief that control is strength and surrender is weakness.

If I could, I would make sure my plants grow at the form, speed and direction that I want them to.

From art journaling, I begun to realize and experience the other side of control - the power of surrender and trust. It is still a work in progress and this piece serves as a good reminder.

Created this a while ago but was put aside as I wasn't too pleased with the doodle. Decided to take it out today and painted it with colours. Must say I am happy with the outcome.
